Louise Adkins is an artist based in Manchester UK
Her practice explores the intersection between performance and the documentation of historical events. Working across photography, text and drawing she investigates the relationship between cultural and historic narrative; recent histories, collective memory, and the documentation of momentous events.
She often works with collections, archives, libraries, and heritage sites and is interested in the performative possibilities of these sites and their histories.
